Updated: 1553 sprites. FFT gained a new generic class, Summoners. Seiken Densetsu 3 gained walking and running sprites for Hawk, and a few npcs were added. Mystic Ark gained a few battle sprites for each character. Also, I updated the links page, and added some new links and our first two affiliates.

The great small-but-often update experiment has failed, shockingly enough. Something caught my eye while I was updating, but what exactly that was, I'll leave for you to wonder about. At any rate, this update is hardly small, but that's mostly because of the FFT update.

Lufia's drawing my attention, perhaps I'll start working on it next. I'd like to finish 7th Saga and Mystic Ark's playable characters before that time, of course. I hate keeping around unfinished archives.

I'm a little cheat. I've been working on monster select codes for games; that's why I have unaccessible monsters in FF4, FF6 and Lufia 2. I've gotten a goodly handful, but two games that I tried and failed to get are Lufia 1 and 7th Saga. 7th Saga, in particular, irks me, because I've spent many a night trying to find one, but with no luck. Guess I'll have to get those monsters the old fashioned way. Sure, it would be easy to do this way, but I've gotten pretty used to getting them by way of code. Eventually I'll release codes and lists for all the stuff I've found out, if anyone's interested, but I'll have to polish my information up some.

I'll be visiting a friend in a few weeks, so I probably won't update in awhile. Hopefully I'll be able to rip a bunch of new sprites while I'm over, as he has a very large game collection.

I was very nearly a timemage. Thank god I switched majors, or I'd be wearing a Wendy's uniform now.

Updated: 368 sprites. Two new games: 7th Saga and Mystic Ark. I have all of the world and ally battle sprites for 7th Saga's playable characters, and all of the world sprites for Mystic Ark's playable characters.

I'm trying out this short and frequent update thing. I hope I can keep it up for at least a few more updates. I have a lot of stuff waiting to be sprited, but most of it is Square stuff. This isn't really a problem, I guess, but I'd like to get away from Square a little bit. I don't think I will really be able to, though, until I exhaust a few more games' worth of sprites. I mean, they're just so /easy/ to grab. The temptation, it is too intense.

I've pestered a few sites for link exchanges, they should've all been added by now. But if I forgot to add your site, yell at me about it.

You might notice that I'm not the same as my twin. Lurker digs this sort of detail, though we've never really noticed it during play.

Updated: 4,225 sprites. Chrono Trigger got a few pc sprites, Ayla's sprites are finished; and almost all of CT's npcs and townspeople are updated as well. You'll really wanna check it out; I have a few sprites here that were never used in the game. Final Fantasy Tactics gained a new generic job, and Seiken Densetsu 3 gained some Carlie sprites and some NPCs as well.

If I don't play Chrono Trigger for the rest of my life, it'll be too soon. You have no idea how soul-sapping it is to just keep ripping and adding more and more and more sprites of the same game. I ruined it for me. Don't worry though, it'll be back, but just not right away. That shouldn't be a problem for any of you, since it's been 7 months since my last update.

What? I told you it was soul-sapping.

Anyway, because of this, which is the new Largest Update Ever, I'll be ripping both non-Square games next time, and it'll be a significantly smaller update. I'd like to do more small, frequent updates, but I'm really in a bad habit of just /not/ updating. It started off simple enough. "I think I'll do all of Ayla's sprites," I said. Then I thought of doing Carlie's walking/running sprites as well. Then I saw npcs in CT. Then I worked out a few codes for npcs in SD3. Then I thought of FFT. What it really is is that I hate writing html for the updates. I gotta get over that, clearly. With smaller updates, the html would be a lot easier to do, since I'd only edit a few pages instead of, say, fifty or so.

Happy spring.

Updated: 3,166 sprites. Chrono Trigger has some, Seiken Densetsu 3 has some, Final Fantasy Tactics has a LOT, and Final Fantasy 6 is new.

You know, it's funny. At 10 years old, the coolest thing EVER is to get to choose whatever you want for dinner. Like, at a university cafeteria. It's chicken pot pie for dinner, but if you want pizza, YOU can have pizza. You can have pop with your meal! And cookies, and no brussel sprouts! And you look at all these tall people who get to do whatever they want, and they live by themselves, and they have all this cool STUFF and they only go to school for 15 hours a week, and their mommies and daddies don't tell them what to do, and they have these meals EVERY SINGLE DAY, and it's like, they have it made.

And so you look at this 10 year old who has this proud smile and is very carefully carrying his tray of food back to the table, and you think. At 10 the worst homework you had to do was the multiplication table. Probably the hardest question on a test is, "Where is Albecurque?" Bonus points if you can spell it properly. You didn't have to worry about how to pay for school, or what classes to take next semester, or your girlfriend or boyfriend. You could play in a refrigerator box all day and not get weird looks. No work, weekends were yours, you didn't have to do laundry or clean out your car. Man. They have it made.

This year, I'm going as a 10 year old kid.

The misc. section has a little bit of content now ;)

If there's anything in particular you'd like to see for the omake subsection, please let me know, I just may have the game.

I promise at least a few new sprites for our next update. I'm in the mood to attack something Neo-Geo :D

Wait! You must be wondering where you are. Wasn't this the URL for lurker's excellent sprite archive? You're in the right place, sort of. I've joined forces with lurker with was to be my own sprite ripping site. There's not much from me right now, except for a little King of Fighters '97 and the design you're seeing. Hope you like it, and let me know if you find any inconsistencies/broken stuff. We've had to update countless indexes, and even though I've re-checked them, maybe something slipped by.

Now who am I? Your regular sega, snk and sprite <3ing nut. I'm leaving RPG land to lurker, I'll try to bring different things to the mix ;)

Funny, this design does away with lurker's vow of no pictures (not that there are many). Maybe we should upgrade it to no jpeg pictures XD

*crosses fingers for more frequent updates*

Haha, quiet you. Anyway, a number of people emailed me since the last update. Since it's been so long, I might have promised to add a link or something, and haven't done so yet. If you're expecting something from me and haven't seen it yet, email me again and remind me. Sorry about the wait, guys. I hope it's been worth it.
